Blue and Yellow Vintage California License Plate?

Recently moved to LA and looking to get California Plates. Can anyone tell me if there's anyway to get the Blue and Yellow Vintage California License Plate?

You can claim on from a wrecking yard or garage sale and take it to DMV and have it associated to your registration for $8 fee. Can't remember the dates, but before blue n gold there was a gold on black, and even earlier black on gold. Gold really meant yellow. A little research would tell you what color really belongs on your vintage car.
