How do I get very large sized magnets?
I need to to get a very large ring magnet for a project. It has to be really huge, not less than 10 inch in diameter. But I don't know where to get it from. Does anyone know which company makes them?
I'm assuming this is a permanent magnet?
first you need to define where the N and S poles are. On a magnet with a donut shape, you have to pick an arbitrary section and call that N (and specify it be made that way) and a section 180 degrees away, and call that S.
Next you need to specify the strength of the magnet, and the material.
