What are some fun and unique educational handmade games?

For a project in school, i have to make a game that's fun but also holds a theme to a book we read in the class. The game's main goal should either be reaching a destination [like the end in a boardgame] by answering questions about the book, or to win, you need to answer the questions. Or something. It can be a board game or any other kind of game. [make sure to tell me the name of the game, the rules and how you make it] The game should be made out of mostly paper or cardboard or whatever. I'm a senior in high school so the game can be a little complex as long as it isn't too hard to make!

Why not use a cardboard box and make one of those games where you have to rotate the box in order to get a marble through a maze and into the goal?
