Venue Searching in Oxfordshire and Staffordshire
The success of an event or a conference relies on strong and efficient planning and execution. The organizers need to exhibit exemplary time management skills and commitment. At the same time, the conference planners have to show tremendous amount of discipline in making flawless arrangements for a conference. For any conference, immaculate planning is required, especially when the organizers are searching for a venue. In the UK, you can search for venues through online venue search sites. Whether it is an Oxfordshire venue or a Staffordshire venue, all the information that you would need to shortlist potential venue providers can be found through these sites. To simplify the efforts that you put in before hiring a venue, it is essential that you gather as much information as possible about the venues you have short listed.
There are several factors that you need to consider before you hire a venue. One of the most important factors is the number of participants, attendees, or guests that you have invited to the conference or the event. The size of a venue depends entirely on this aspect of planning. You would want to estimate the number well in advance, so you are not caught on the wrong foot. After sending the invites to all the guests, make a mental calculation of the number of seats and the size of the room you would require for the people you have invited. Based on your estimation, request a quote from the venue you have selected. However, there are instances when the event is open to all; i.e., you are not sure how many attendees would show up for the event. This is the case mostly with corporate parties or casual events. In such a scenario, the best idea would be to work out a maximum and minimum figure, based on which you can make the necessary arrangements.
The second most important factor you need to consider is the location of the venue. The location factor is primarily decided by its accessibility. It is essential that you make sure the venue is easily accessible by all the participants, or at least, a majority of them. If it is a conference, this factor is even more important because you would want to make it as productive as possible. For this reason, you would want all the participants to attend the conference and contribute towards making it a huge success. Travel arrangements go hand in hand with location planning. If the attendees are not the residents of the city you have chosen as your venue, you would want to arrange transportation for them. It is necessary to pick the most efficient travel service, as you wouldnt want any delay in the start of the conference.
You would also want to plan for the food, as well as beverage arrangements, for the event or conference that you are organizing. Most venues offer these services as a part of the total package. However, the responsibility of planning for the numbers is solely yours. It is essential to take into consideration the different lifestyles of the attendees or guests. In case the catering service is not offered as a part of the package, you would want to consult a few conference organizers to select the best catering service in the area for the budget you have planned. If you are organizing a corporate party or a casual event, you would want to search for a venue that provides staging and entertainment arrangements as well. Make sure you check with several venues before selecting one that suits your preferences in the most appropriate manner in terms of the cost as well as the service.
Another important factor you must consider is the type of event you are organizing. It could be a Christmas party, a business conference, a casual event, or a corporate get-together. Based on the event type, select the venue that offers the most efficient service. Some venues are good at business conferences; whereas, their services would not be equally good if it is a Christmas party. Hence, evaluate the venue provider based on their specialization with a specific event. Moreover, you would also want to consider the style of venue. Venues offer a variety of styles, such as professional, themed, gallery, etc. The choice of the style would again depend on the type of event you are organizing, and the selection would depend on the professionalism exhibited by a particular venue for a specific event.
Venue budget plays a very vital role in venue planning. Different venues vary their services based on your budget. For instance, if you need additional rooms for a conference, you would have to pay extra. At the same time, food and beverage arrangements may be offered as a special package. Take into consideration all these factors while searching for a venue based on your budget. There are several sites that offer a venue search based on different criteria. You can use these services to choose a venue that suits your budget and needs the best.

Question about bull terrier breeds (pit bulls)?
I've searched through other similar questions and haven't found a solid answer. Hoping someone can help.
I have what I think is a 3-month-old SBT, but now I'm confused after doing some research and learning about different breeds!
I've found Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, and American pit bull terriers. But when I look at the picture examples, I have trouble figuring out which one my little guy is (he's 3 months old).
The only distinct difference in picture I found was on the AKC website, which doesn't list American pit bull terrier, only American Staffordshire terrier and Staffordshire bull terrier (the AM Staff is taller, the SBT is shorter and bulkier according to their pics).
Is an American Staffordshire terrier the same thing as an American pit bull terrier?
I'm very confused as to what types of breeds actually exist, if there is any distinction between some of the names or if people use different names for the same breed.
ALL AKC American STaffordshire Terriers are decended from UKC and ADBA-registered American Pit Bull Terriers, and the AKC allowed "single registration" of UKC and ADBA-registered APBT's up until 1974, when they closed their stud books to UKC and ADBA dogs. Up until recently, it was very possible to research a six-generation pedigree on some of the AKC's top champion AmStaffs and find Pit Bulls in there that were single-registered from either UKC or ADBA, and both UKC and the ADBA will STILL single-register an AKC American Staffordshire Terrier as an American Pit Bull Terrier. According to the UKC's Cindy Cooke, they are the same dog. MOST of the UKC's top-winning show APBT's are also registered with AKC as AmStaffs, and many have titles in both organizations. There are different strains, bred for different purposes, with the ADBA dogs tending to be bred more for "gameness" and performance, while the UKC and AKC dogs have tended, especially in more recent years, to be bred more for looks for the show ring. You will find this same tendency in many breeds, including German Shepherds, English Setters, and now Border Collies, for there to be a working/hunting type, and a show type, and the differences are much more obvious than the differences between the AmStaff and the American Pit Bull Terrier. The only way that the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier could be "entirely different" breeds is if there have been recent crossbreeding by outside breeds into the AmStaff gene pool, and there's no evidence of that happening, or if they had totally different origins. Many AKC people wish to completey disavow the American Pit Bull Terrier in their dogs, and many people who boast "NO AmStaff blood" in their game-bred Pits want to completely distance themselves from the show dog crowd. I've owned many dogs that were triple-registered with AKC, UKC and ADBA, and had been for many generations, that still excelled at catching wild hogs and produced show winners. The name "Staffordshire Terrier" was concocted in 1937, when the AKC gave official recognition to the American Pit Bull Terrier, NOT because of the stigma attached to the "Pit" part, but to the "Bull Terrier" part, because of a hissy fit pitched by the Bull Terrier Club of America. They objected to AKC recognizing another breed, especially a "working class" breed like the Pit Bull, with "Bull Terrier" as part of its name, and they won, forcing the people seeking AKC registration for their Pit Bulls to make up another name, and "Staffordshire Terrier" was the name they picked. In 1974, the AKC recognized the smaller British dog, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, keeping the "Bull Terrier" part this time, but adding "American" to the Stafforshire Terrier to avoid confusion. They closed the registry to any UKC or ADBA Pit Bulls at the same time. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a smaller, more compact dog, never having cropped ears, and has a somewhat "froggier" appearance than either the UKC or AKC AmStaffs/Pit Bulls, as well as shorter legs.
