.....You should!...Darren Nixon, from Stoke on Trent, didn,t and the Staffordshire "cowboy coppers firearms unit", bundled him into a van, put him into a cell and took his fingerprints,DNA and his mugshot!..Just because "somebody" told them,.."He looked like he had a gun". Think yourself lucky. Mr. Nixon, that these cowboys didn,t take turns shooting you to death!
It,s about time the Goverment took the fire-arms off these trigger happy clowns and got some professionals to do the job!
The police are duty bound to investigate any allegations that someone has a gun. In today's climate I would expect even someone of your low intelligence would realise that.
Had that person really had a gun, and the police failed to investigate that, then surely that is worse than someone being detained and subsequently released as a result of an honestly held belief by a member of the public. Obviously in your case the police are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
As for trigger happy....... then I have to resent that comment. My force has not shot anyone in 20 years. That hardly makes US trigger happy. Or would you like to explain otherwise.
Joan - Firstly we do not shoot and ask questions later. What you believe is not what happens. Secondly it was a member of the public that mistakenly thought his MP3 player was a firearm, not the police!!! You sound more like STAND2 every day!!!!!
