Have you or would you ask for another plate if you saw the dish had hardened food on it?

I think they were hardened food on the dish. I didn't want to say anything but yeah. I saw it happened to someone else but she didn't say anything. I hate my dish and I didn't see the hardened stain when I was looking through my food. They serve the plates and put the food on there so yeah. It's a college cafeteria.

I had a situation where not only was dried food still on this salad plate, but the plate had been stacked and the salad that was sitting on this plate covering the dried food had small glass fragments that occurred during the stacking. I simply called over the Manager and let him look for himself at the stain but to notice the broken glass throughout the salad itself. Very apologetic and appreciative of the way I handled the situation without involving the entire dining area of the restaurant. Needless to say our entire table had free meals and a comp glass of wine for each of us.
