Is it possible to find rare, vintage dolls at, like, normal yard sales or consignment stores?
I'm starting to collect vintage/antique (1940's-1980's) porcelain/bisque dolls, (just as a hobbie and have fun) but I don't really want to spend, like, $300 dollars on a doll just to deprive me of my boredom. So, I was hoping I could maybe find vintage dolls out there that arn't sold by serious collectors that do this for, like, a living and asks for $500 hundred dollars.
Yes, it's possible, but it doesn't happen very often. I suggest, since you sound like you're just getting started, to first invest in some doll books so that when you do come across a real find you'll recognize it!
