Inspiration For A Small Bathroom
Having a small bathroom doesn't mean you have to compromise on style, the Big Bathroom Shop has plenty of solutions for a small space.
Choosing a sleek and compact bathroom suite, where the pipes can be hidden from view can make a huge difference. Many items of pottery are now designed to be placed in the corner of the bathroom, such as a corner sink or a corner fitting toilet, which are ideal for a small bathroom and will allow for the optimum use of space. Also another space saving idea is choosing a shower bath, so you still have the option of bathing or showering. If you wish to just have a shower enclosure there are many options available - corner or pentangle enclosures are a perfect fit for a small bathroom, also bi-fold or in-slide doors will allow access without causing any obstruction.
Once you have chosen your compact bathroom suite, you may also want to think about your choice of colour carefully, as this can have a big impact on the feeling of space within the bathroom. Natural light may be limited so you could use lighter tones and colours that will give an improved appearance of space. Choosing blinds instead of curtains will increase the light in the room and will still maintain your privacy. When it comes to artificial lighting spotlights will brighten up the whole room without adding any clutter and will look modern. Down lights also look stylish and will give your bathroom a personal touch. The use of mirrors can give the illusion of making the bathroom appear larger by reflecting any natural light.
Ornate fixtures will look good in a showroom but they are best avoided in a small bathroom, as they can make the room appear cluttered. Using sleek, modern brassware will create clean, crisp lines and will give a spacious feel.

When cleaning up clay after using a pottery wheel- is it safe to wash clay down the drain?
I put the large chunks of clay in my slurry bucket, but what about the small bits that inevitably wash down the sink during cleanup? Is this a problem? Could it clog my drain? Is there a special filter for clay only? I have a small shop sink in my studio that I use.
If you can make a receptable for your sink.
It is basically a big bowl of water with a drain near the top.
Your clay, and all the other solids will sink, the chemicals will rise to the top of the water where they can evaporate, (if you use oil-based paints they will float on the top of the water for you to clean away.)
There should be plans on the web.
Clay will clog your drain, and a filter will not work, as the clay particles are too small.
Added:
I was trying to find the link of that post by meeny mo, this is what I found, would work too:

But you would have to clean out the upper bucket after each use, to prevent it getting clogged.
