Bone China Tea Cups: The Pride of England

When we say, "English bone china tea cup" we usually come into some associations that this certain kind of thing just like some of the common tea cups is made from porcelain. However, we actually come into certain consideration that why it is named as English bone china tea cup?

Pottery pinch bowl theme...?

I'm making a pinch bowl in pottery and its average size, not to big. We have to give it a "theme", but not to a huge extent. My teacher gave us some examples such as putting a small diving board on the edge of the bowl, making the bowl into a "pool".

So basically, we get this little ball of clay and have to make it into something to add to our pinch bowl.

I was thinking about making a surf board, but I don't know how I would incorporate that into/on to the bowl. I'm live in FL, so everything is very tropical and beach related. Although I don't mind any ideas.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I only get a little ball of clay, so I can only make so much...

How about you make a Surfboard like you said and make a palm tree too with a little Roxy flower? [tropical]

If you are really creative you could do a mermaid over the side of the bowl? [underwater]

A little man with a diving cap and flippers on standing onto the side looking ready to jump in? [pool]

A Cute dinosaur on the side with little spots on him? [Prehistoric + cute x3]
