The National Archaeological Museum more than 20 museums in Athens among the largest and richest collection of a museum. Now, the museum has more than 50 rooms including the hall and exhibition room, and has collected almost 20 thousand cultural relics. Most of the cultural relics reflect the part of Greek mythology. In every sense it is a complete collection of ancient relics museum. In the middle of vestibule is the display area of Mycenae antique, in which the golden mask, utensil and decoration are best known. Both sides of the mid-way exhibit sculptures including various arms. Further North is the bronze showroom. Shapes of pottery and patterns of bottles could show the graceful and meticulous characteristics of Greek art. As soon as you enter the museum, the first room you will see is the [My-cenae zone". You can see the [Mask of Agam-emnon" in this room.After Agamenon-the king of Mycenae-died, Experts made this mask according the king`s looks. It is the best evidence for the once mighty mycenaean civilization. Besides this, there are Birds of a feather-Bao and Pottery from the Mycenaean Bronze Period, the Prehistoric Heritage from Peloponnese.

There are many other collections worth visiting, such as" Poseidon of atremision" in room number 5, [Horse and Jockey Of a-remision" in room number 21 ,[Standing man" from Kouroi age,and There are frescos from Akrotiri in Santorini,which tells the daily life in Greece,such as the boxing boy and compass map . These frescos were buried because of the volcanic eruption in 1500 B.C., thus all frescos on the island now are copies. In other exhibition rooms, there are red and black vases and urns for daily use painted with geographical figures.

In most rooms of museum there is no air-condition. Therefore we suggest that you'd better visit the museum in early morning, for the cool surroundings and avoiding crowdes. Because many commentaries of the historic relics are unreadable, and some commentaries are not in English, you'd better buy an English booklet before entering the museum to make a perfect visit.
