For those who love to make and eat chili, a set of chili bowls is the perfect gift. There are many varieties of chili bowl sets to choose from. They often come with four chili bowls, matching spoons, and sometimes spices or other accessories. Chili bowl sets can be purchased at various retail stores or on the internet.
Chili bowls made out of porcelain are a great idea. They are sturdy and keep the chili warm because they hold heat well. They are also very easy to clean. Sometimes plastic chili bowls can affect the taste of the delicious mix it holds.
A chili bowl is also a name for a popular chili dining experience. Rather than using a cup or a bowl to hold the chili, a bowl is made that is edible. The bowl is made out of biscuits or other bread. The middle of the bread is hollowed out, leaving a great shell. Scoop your favorite chili into the bread bowl for a delicious chili bowl.
To make these chili bowls, you can purchase ready make round breads and take out the middle. This can be quite expensive though and the bread is usually rather large. Another option is to use bread dough or biscuit dough. Wrap it loosely around the outside of an inverted glass or porcelain bowl that has been sprayed with a non-stick oil, and then bake it until the bread is golden brown. Allow the bread to completely cool, and then gently remove it from the bowl.
It can take some practice to get these chili bread bowls done right. They are also recommended for a thicker style of chili as a runny chili might soak into the bread too much causing it to leak.
Chili is a favorite food of many cultures. You can purchase custom chili bowls to enjoy it in as well as make your own edible bowls that taste delicious. Regardless of which method you choose, the right chili recipe will ensure it tastes great. The internet is a great place to find wonder chili recipes and great chili bowl gifts and accessories. They come in all styles and colors so you can get a set to match the dishes you already have in your kitchen.

How can I remove black marks that metal pots and bowls leave on my white porcelain kitchen countertop?
I have a hard time removing these marks. I usually succeed in getting rid of them with Comet and a toothbrush or a scouring pad, but it takes far too much elbow grease. Is there an easier way?
I have the same problem with my white porcelain sink. I found this godsend of a product called "Barkeeper's Friend." You can find it in WalMart. Just sprinkle it on and add a little water and use a plastic scouring pad to rub it gently. Marks will come right off...Good luck!!
