Choose one italian baroque painting and one dutch baroque painting and discuss the differences?

Well, there are plenty to choose from. One interesting comparison might be between Artemisia Gentileschi's "Self Portrait as the Allegory of Painting" (the first painting on the first site below) and Vermeer's "The Art of Painting."
