Are You Loving Others Partially or Unconditionally?
There are so many definitions of love. If you don’t have a definition for love, here is one to consider: The choice to see the divinity in all beings. This is a useful definition and if we can practice it, there is no doubt we can learn how to love unconditionally.
Most parents have unconditional love for their young children. They love their child regardless of what they do. They don’t say, “I only love little David when he is being good”. Even when their child is naughty or willingly goes against their parents best wishes, they are still loved no matter what.
We are less lenient on our partners. We expect to someone else to complete us. To fulfil us and live up to the impossibly perfect person we expect. But it is no good saying, “I don’t love you when you.....”. Love is love. And there are no exceptions.
You cannot only love someone when is suits you or they act how you want them to be. Love someone for exactly who they are – warts and all. If there is something you are not happy about it is your problem – not theirs. It is not fair to make somebody else change something you are not happy with. It is up to you and you alone.
Perhaps we are able to love others unconditionally when we can love ourselves unconditionally. Not enough of us truly love ourselves. We talk to the mirror and tell our reflection we don’t like this, this or this part. Could we try and accept ourselves – all of ourselves?
Loving yourself unconditionally is not easy. But once you have mastered this you will be able to love others unconditionally much easier.

I first went to byron bay about 45 years ago. when i first went it was a lovely little town.?
But i went up there two weeks ago after 12 years and it has turned into a little rose bay. is there any place still on the nsw coast that has the same feel that the old byron did because the byron bay i know now is stuffed.I mean if i wanted to go were there was a lot of posers i would stay in sydney
At last, not one, but two other people who can see Byron Bay for the crappy place it is now. A bit further north there is Kingscliff which was nice when I was there a couple of years ago, but the poseur tide was encroaching very rapidly and it might already be too late. Lennox Head a bit to the south might still be OK too.
