How to Fix Windows Problems on Your Own

Windows is a great operating system that makes it possible for your average computer user to do so much more than just emailing with a PC. Behind the scenes, it runs just about everything you can imagine, from your web access, to your video, and on to your photo collection. That means that when Windows problems crop up, you have serious issues.

Computer users on their own can address many little problems within Windows. It doesn’t take too much in-depth computer expertise, just an ability to follow directions posted online. Even if you don’t understand what you are doing, you can manage these repairs. Here are a couple of the most common issues and their solutions.

Fixing Flash Install Problems
When you want to view a video on YouTube or a similar network you see the message "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player." The flash player accesses certain types of video available on the internet. Some videos require the latest version of the software.

Rarely is there a problem with the JavaScript, so head to the Adobe website and access the latest version of Flash Player. It is recommended that you uninstall your previous version of Flash Player before you download a new copy.

Do this from the Control Panel
Click the Add/Remove programs tab
Once you have your new version of Flash Player, reboot your PC.

This should fix the problem.
