Changing a 3 Knob Shower to a 1 Knob Shower / Cover Plate / Fiber Glass Tub-Shower (read full question)?

I have a fiberglass 2 peice Shower / Tub set up and the mixer valve behind the wall is leaking on the hot water side (the water wont completely shut off) I know it's the mixer valve because I've had 2 plumbers come by and I also tried replacing just the hot water valve and seal etc.

So I have to open up a hole in the fiber glass wall so unlike hardy board then tile I wont be able to patch the fiber glass so I am trying to find a cover plate big enough to cover the hole that will be made to replace the miver valve then I want to just switch to a one knob set up etc.

So does anyone now of a good solution to cover up this hole tht will be made in the fiber glass wall etc, cover plates kits etc. and so I can change this to a 1 knob also.
Remodel Cover Plate at Lowes or Home Depot. OK I'll look for that thanks

Moen and Delta both make repair plates for a situation such as this.

Any plumbing supply house or Lowe's should have them.

Just ask for a remodel cover plate.
