Tranquility And Activity
Throughout the centuries, apart from heavy fighting during the 100 year war (1337 – 1453) Limousin has been mined for gold, copper, quartz and uranium. However, the most influential discovery was Kaolin, soft, earthy mineral clay found in Limousin. Pure white in colour, this has developed the regions vast industry of quality white porcelain.
Limousin, Haute-Vienne, Creuse, and Correze are arguably the most rural regions in France, with unspoiled landscapes, and is the perfect haven for tranquility and peace. Scattered with ancient churches, castles, and villages that gives you that feel of harmony and serenity. But although peaceful there is plenty to do.
With its green wooded hills, deep gorges, numerous rivers and lakes, this beautiful region of France is the perfect location for excellent fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, horse riding, golfing, cycling, and walking. Just a stones throw away is the picturesque town of Limoges, famed for its pottery.
Taking a break is all about relaxing and refreshing ourselves, switching off and re-energizing our minds and bodies away from business, stress, or just from the normal daily grind that is essential for our sanity.

What should I do in Champagne-Ardenne?
So, my family and I are going on a vacation to France and one of the regions we're going to is Champagne-Ardenne. I've never even heard of this place before. Is there anything cool to do? Is there anywhere fun and exciting to go to? What are some good tourist attractions? And what sort of food do they eat there? Is it good? I'm sort of a picky eater, so I just want to prepare myself Also, I'm getting all my friends gifts, but I want to get them something unique to Champagne-Ardenne. Is there anything that the region is known for specifically? Maybe like pottery or something? Or I was thinking of getting them a CD. Are there any famous musicians that come from Champagne-Ardenne. Or do they have a style of music that is unique to their region? Mmmkay, thank you SOOOO much.
and even if you can't answer all the questions I asked, any info you have would be appreciated.
