No it is not ok. Goldfish grow very large, can live for 30 years, and are messy eaters that need a filter, not just an air stone. I have around 40 goldfish in a pond, my oldest is 12 inches and over 10 years old.

If you have fancy goldfish, they need a tank with a bare minimum of 20 gallons, 10 for each fish. If they are commons or comets, they are going to need at least 55 gallons, as commons can grow very large.

Goldfish living in bowls get stunted and their lives are greatly shortened. They develop health problems easily from living in poor water containing high levels of ammonia.

Any fish will benefit from a biological filter, they house beneficial bacteria that change ammonia into nitrates which are less harmful to the fish. Partial water changes then keep the nitrates in check. This is especially important for goldfish as they eat a lot and produce a lot of waste.
