Blue Stoneware

Match Dinner Sets
Match pewter is handmade by artisians in the north of Italy. Each piece is made with an alloy that is food safe, lead-free, FDA approved and requires little or no care. Since 3000 BC pewter has been used to make functional and decorative objects for the home. Today Match continues this ancient tradition using methods that have been passed down through generations of Italian artisans. The hallmarks on each piece are the signatures of their skilled hands. Each piece of Match pewter is a testament to the timeless values of craft and authorship often overlooked in this age of speed and convenience. The classic forms harmonize with both traditional and modern settings. Its warm reflections recall celebrations at well laid tables and storytelling by candlelight.
Match Pewter can bring to your decor as well as the perfect mood that can be created through the floral creations of Diane James. The color of the perfect mug is a far reaching and varied debate that has been raging for many a year but our mug is here to save the day. With these practical color coded ceramic mugs the art of coffee is reduced to a mere color matching exercise and personal preference prevails.
Match is our most colorful tableware and the idea was born when we wanted to offer customers something fun, bright and that could be added to with co-ordinated pieces. Most of the Mix & Match items are sets, which make ideal contemporary gifts. Mix & Match items are hand-painted and made from stoneware, which is especially durable and dishwasher microwave safe, making them ideal for everyday use. A classic & modern dinnerware service combines the beauty of Italian Pewter and ceramics. Please purchase on online www.etabletop.com

Where can I see the best antique blue decorated American stoneware collection ?
Well, I don;t know about the "Best" collection, but the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation has a pretty impressive and complete collection including some of the rarest forms for American Stoneware. Currently their Museum's are closed for remodeling.
The curators are currently working on a book about Stoneware (continental and American 17th century to 1900). They are planning to have the book finished by 2008.
I hope that this helps.
