staffordshire bull terriors are great dogs!?

I have a staffordshire bull terrier called blue who is 10 years years old and never hurt a fly, but i have watched television programs about them saying that they are going to be banned just like the pit bull due to attacks. does anyone else think they should be banned because they are such loving caring dogs and its the owners which make them like this and a labrador could be made just as vicious with the right owner so it should be the owner put down not the dog! i hope that nobody else thinks that they are horrible dogs x

ive a 5year old boy and ive a 2year old son a 5year old daughter and a 9 year old son and ive had my paddy from 4 weeks, he was real mistreated, but that never stopped him from being anything but a angel even with other dogs, my mum has a chitz-su that is more agressive than paddy is, he loves other dogs, people and bablies even cats he loves being mum to lil kittens ive looked after in the past, yes its right saying they are not dangerous dogs and yes they do have powerful jaws and thats why they are so feared, i would callanged andone to come and meet my baby and say staffies are nasty dogs cus they are not, read them up they were breed for bull-baiting and to sit and play with the kids when they came home, nick-named 'the nanny dog', they are the mose funny and loverble dog ive know, i also have a husky at 1 and they will play and jump with eachother and will pine when the other is not there, i would trust my paddy with any child or baby on the planet and no he would never hurt them, even when he goes the vets he is great and dont make a fuss when he had his staples put in or taken out for a cut on his paw, vets said wot a great dog, so please dont ban this breed maybe put some basic rules in place for breeders to follow, ans pound for pound its them lil yap yap things that look like rats are the most visious,the world wold be a much sadder place if staffies where banned, punish the deed not the breed people, come on educate your selfs for the sakes of loving family dogs all over the country, 1000's of pittbull and pittbull types have been put to sleep needlessly through ignorance and irrasponsable owners,
