I cannot speak of them
or remember them
in such grotesque ways,
I must think of a tossed bouquet, a broken vase,
and rust colored water seeping into the earth.
I do not know of thier home,
or the healthy bloom that was driven by love.
I cannot replace what has been slain
as only the earth can
become the composit on which we sow.
All I can do is watch them vaporise, return to the sky
as limp sopped leaves

I can preserve them,'

Maybe years from now people will know they were loved
